No need to be sorry about Britches. I miss the guy myself and I never even met him. There was something special about that boy. He has the same glow that Nubs has. Something about him that even people who don't like the breed are attracted too. Something rare IMO...
You realize it's 2 weeks shy of Nubs "Gotcha Day"? He has been with me for almost 1 full year. Amazing... He was my gift for everything I did for Carter and he still keeps giving me more and more every day. *tears in eyes* Sometimes it's so hard to believe a dog can mean and do so much for you. Gahhh.. now I'm crying... lol... I am thankful everyday I wake up and Nubs is around. There is just something about him that is special. I still can't place what it is...
I just can't look at one of your threads without getting teary eyed myself. I kick myself everyday for not adopting him, but I was in no situation to keep him. It sucks because I know he was one of kind, even if I could find such a bully that great, he still wouldn't be a Britches. I hope his family really does appreciate him that much.
Wow a year!?! That is amazing; no way does it seem like it's been that long. Nubs was in
that shelter, at
that exact time, for a specific reason. There is no way he would have this wonderful a life if you hadn't adopted him and I don't even know him, but from your pictures and threads he is one spirited dog. And I completely agree with you that they are rare.
After my first dog passed away I thought I would never bond with another animal that way. Ted came along soon after and he is more than I could have ever dreamed of. While he may have *mutters under breathe* several problems I wouldn't trade him for the world. This June will make two years and to think he'll be four years old this year makes my stomach drop. Lol
Ok ok i'll stop hijacking your thread..
