My husband and I just got a boxer mix puppy from a shelter who is approximately 14 weeks old. The problem is that when we are getting ready to go to bed she goes crazy and develops an insane burst of energy that lasts anywhere from 10-25 minutes (pulling at our bedspread, sprinting around the house, etc.) We take her out before bringing her back to the room for bed, but don't know what else to do. She sleeps in a dog bed, not a crate. Any help would be appreciated:)

Boxers are high energy dogs and need lots of exercise both mental and physical. You're looking at 12-15 mile walks at maturity but, for now while she's still a puppy much less should suffice. The mental exercise wears dogs out and that's a good option when you can't go out walking.

If it happens around the same time at night, a little bit before take her out for a 15-20 minute walk or for some fetch or something.
