Hello-
I am fostering a new rescue dog. He’s been at the rescue since January and was brought in with 2 other dogs. Hes scared of people but likes dogs. He’s about 2 years old and he won’t come out of his crate at all. The first day he walked grudgingly on a leash outside to potty, got spooked, got out of his harness and ran away. Amazingly enough after an hour and a half he ran back in my patio door I left open and went to his safe spot. That night he crept into my bedroom while my dog and I were sleeping and claimed my dogs kennel. Now he won’t move, won’t go outside, won’t leave the room to even eat or drink. He has started eating treats in front of me and nothing else. He potties on the carpet in my bedroom (to be expected since I can’t get him to leave the kennel even for steak). Any thoughts, suggestions? Is this normal?
