Hi,

Picked up a cocker spaniel yesterday 10 weeks old.

Went to the vets for a check up and everything was ok except being slightly underweight.

Last night I noticed some red marks on his skin, like little red spots. He can't stop itching and the vets can't see him till Monday. He's had a bath in some moisturising puppy shampoo.

Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

Thanks

It could be something like a staph infection or mange. If they started after the bath, it could be a reaction to either not being rinsed well enough, or even to the shampoo. Either way, he needs to be seen by the vet.

Definitely Vet is a must.

My pup had some little spots on his skin from a reaction from flea bites when I got him - and the vet gave him some Chlorhexidine wipes. They're just antibacterial wipes and they may help until you can get to the vet monday to find out exactly what is going on. If it's something like mange or even a fungal issue I'm not sure the wipes would help though.
