We just got a new puppy and our 3 yr old Mastador keeps knocking him over with her head and then has even tried to lay on him. I understand she's trying to show her dominance, but I'm worried about him getting hurt. He's only 8 weeks old, but he also nips at her all the time. Any suggestions or should I be worried?

Don't let them interact at this point. You want your new puppy to bond to you. Work on that and separate the two dogs. It will help you a lot with training and forming a relationship with the puppy.

Some females play nice with puppies. Others not so much. Why would you want your new puppy to be bullied by an older dog? Your puppy is a baby. If you had a human toddler would you want him/her to play on the play ground with rough and tumble 18 year olds? This is what you are doing with your [puppy and the older dog.
