Hi
I have read many posts on other forums in addition to this one and really liked the tone of this board.
For a year and a half we have had a wonderful little dog named Gwinnie. She is a Schnauzer/Poodle mix. I don't know exactly how or why she came into existance. When looking through numerous websites like Petfinder I came across this lady (on a different site) who really needed to place her dogs. Her family was in dire circumstances and was having to make some difficult decisions. We acquired Gwinnie from her. My family loves Gwinnie dearly and were happy being a one dog family.
This week I was contacted by a family member that decided that she did not have the time for a puppy and wanted to get rid of her 4 month old Maltese/Yorkie mix. Here again, I do not know how the dog came into existance but he was matted and I could count his ribs. He needed a new home and after a family meeting we decided to adopt Loki.
Gwinnie and Loki are getting along great and Loki has already gained weight. He has a great personality and is adorable.
With our busy lifestyle we feel that smaller dogs that we can exercise with walks around the block and games in the backyard fit in well with our family.
I am excited to get to know the people here and get advice on various topics.
