New Boston Terrier puppy this weekend!

Hey everyone, I'm going to be a first time dog owner and really excited. I'm picking up this Boston Terrier puppy this weekend. Does anyone have any thoughts if she looks like a healthy and well bred puppy? So hard to tell when they're just puppies right? She's about 9 weeks here I think. Thanks in advance!

I don't know enough about bostons to call if she's well bred or not, but I have to say that fourth picture is SQUEEE worthy.
I don't know too much about them ... but never seen them with brown in their coats ... will she get darker as she gets older I wonder ... or maybe it's just the light. Either way SUPER DUPER cutie!
The pup is brindle, Bostons come in brindle and white, black and white, and seal and white. The only way I could tell you anything about that pup is to know where the pup is coming from. She looks nice and is cute by the pictures but that can only tell you so much. Info about the source would tell a whole nother story.

Agree completely. Where did you get the pup from. She gets a "10" for cuteness. :)
I'm also just popping in to say...that 4th picture is ADORABLE! :D

oh cool! I just learned something new!
She sure is cute!
Thanks everyone! I ended up deciding not to get the puppy... she's so adorable but at the end I didn't feel comfortable w/ the breeder/broker.

She's been very accommodating to answer my questions but when I got specific about testing, health guarantee, etc. the answers just weren't there. Lastly she kind of got angry when I told her I scheduled a check up for the pup on Sunday. She said I was looking for issues instead of looking forward to having a puppy, so that was it. Maybe she was offended that I don't trust her, but to be honest I don't know her and I'm going to be the one who has to raise the dog for the next 12 to 15 years...

So.... the search continues.

I think you did the right thing.

I agree. If you're not totally comfortable with a breeder, it should be a no go.
Thanks guys! Very disappointed to not have a puppy this weekend. I have all the toys/supplies sitting in my house waiting... Hopefully the right pup comes along soon!
I think you made the right choice. A breeder should welcome questions and vet checks since they should be proud of the health of their pups.

We got our puppy at the SPCA and he is awesome! He's half dachshund, a total snuggly velcro dog, and really smart and friendly!
Well I am glad you didn't go to a breeder you were not comfortable with. I think you should continue your search through these people. Read through all it first then click the link in the last line on the page.

Thanks! I reached out to Billie in the link and also contacted a lot of breeders through other links. If anyone here know of a breeder within 5 hour drive of NYC that has a puppy or older puppy available, please let me know :)

It's people like you that give me hope.
I wish you the best of luck in your search for the perfect puppy.
Whatever breeder you go to you want to make sure they abide by the national breed clubs code of ethics, and are doing the health tests on their stock. Meaning OFA scores, DNA test for Juvenile Cataracts, and BAER test for congenital deafness.

You want a breeder who asks as much questions of you, as you do of them, that lets you know they actually care about where their pup is going.

Have you thought about an adult? My tattoo artist in CT has adopted three bostons from a rescue.

This could be the smartest thing I've read on this site in years. For real.

I love you, OP! Please come back when you do get a dog.
