New bathroom routine

My elderly pit terrier has recently started peeing and pooping in this one specific spot in our yard just infront of the flowers. I'm not sure why she's changed her restroom routine she used to just go everywhere... Like everywhere even on the concrete slab path. So why is she now pooping in this one tiny little spot? Is she okay? Should I be worried?

Any time there is an abrupt change in behavior or habits, particularly in an elderly dog, the first thing to do is take a trip to the vet & make sure there are no physical issues going on. It could be something (pain? confusion?) or it could be nothing but a new preference.
Older dogs sometimes get a bit stiff with arthritis and can also have vision changes. As such, going to the bathroom may be a matter of just going to the easiest spot or (if it is a vision issue) the most familiar smelling spot where she has gone before.

You need a vet to help you ascertain this.
Thanks I tried googling for awnsers but all the websites were about puppies... And she's around ten or eleven years old, and already potty trained. So none of their advice really applied but I can for sure ask our vet about it. I was just worried I was making a mountain out of a molehill.
