I just moved to Huntsville, TX and I'm in search of a good vet. I'm willing to drive as far as the Woodlands/ Houston. I have a 5 year old, VERY HEALTHY lab/pit-bull mix that's been on the BARF diet for 1 1/2 years. I'd like to find a vet that's supportive of my dog's diet. At this stage, I just need yearly maintenance visits (heartworm, vaccines, etc...). My vet in New Braunfels was great and inexpensive! ($100 for a teeth cleaning, $30 - $60 visits - never spent more than $100 for any one visit - again my dog Copper is extremely healthy - most people think she's still a puppy except that she's too calm!)
Thanks for any advice!

If you don't know anyone in town to get a personal recommendation from, I think I would break out the phone book and start calling the vets in the area and asking them if they are supportive of BARF. Or maybe there's a local dog club that could guide you.
