I just got my first cane corso and lab mix . And he is way some . I think that he does weigh more then 5 lbs and short and about nine inch tall .how can I get him to a healthy weight with out over feeding

Just feed him a healthy diet. He is going to grow the size he was meant to be and feeding him a lot of extra food is not going to make him grow bigger than he is meant to be.
