I agree with Shell. You can save a ton of money simply going to basic puppy kindergarten classes. Pick a positive, rewards based trainer. Basic puppy kindergarten will teach you many skills such as sit, down, come, stay, leave it, so all the basics, as well as some tips on teaching basic house manners. It also helps get your puppy used to the idea of working with and focusing on you in the presence of other dogs and novel new people!
