Natural vs synthetic vitamin E in fish oil supplement?

661 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  JohnnyBandit
I saw there's two different types of vitamin E: d-alpha-tocopherol ("natural") and dl-alpha-tocoperhol ("synthetic")

Does it matter which one you give your dog, and why? Could you please share your recommendation for a good fish oil with the right type of vitamin E?

Thanks!

PS. I also posted this on reddit but only got one response there, that's why I came here! Seems people are more active on here

I'm no expert, but as I understand it, vitamin E is put in fish oil as a preservative. Not much is added. So I'd guess it doesn't matter.

what's the aim of giving fish oil?
Rather than fish oil... I do oily fish.....
sardines, mackerel, etc. No raw Salmon.... They can carry a parasite.
