I am attending an event in the Las Vegas area. It is going to be a lot of fun, with adoptable dogs, pit bull agility and obedience demos, dog safety classes for children and other fun stuff. Here is the web site-

I think it is a great idea to have public events like this. I personally am looking forward to the agility demo, you don't think of pits as agility dogs, or at least I don't.

I agree that agility among Pit Bull Terriers is not as well known as the strength/pulling competitions. But I can see how they would do very well at it. I know my own APBT has been referred to as a 'mountain goat' before! I have also seen her outrun some extremely fast breeds at the dog park (she likes to tease other dogs with a toy & get them to chase her - 'Ha Ha, Look what I've got that you don't') like a Poodle & a Greyhound, both at the same time once!

Thanks for sharing this. It sounds like it's going to be a terrific event!
