My rott is 10 months old and only 55 pounds. He was the runt of the litter but he still seems quite a bit smaller than he should be. Am I wrong about this?

That's a small Rott. At 10 months, he should be something like 85% of his adult size.

Do you know how big his parents are? He should take after them at least a little. If his parents are a lot bigger, a vet check would probably be a good thing just in case.

I would have your vet look at him,if he is healthy then the weight he is should not matter.I say grow them lean. When they are adults you can always put some weight on them ,but not before 2 years old.

Yes, 55 pounds is on the small side for a 10 month old male Rottweiler. Obviously breeding has something to do with the size the pup will end up being. What does your breeder say about that? Is his weight alright for his height? I would love to see pictures of him, Rotties are my favorite breed. :)
