Hey Folks. I have been fostering for awhile and recently rehomed Beckon my little Cairn mix last Thursday. Last week my God daughter who works for the county shelter called and asked if Id like to meet a new pound pup that she couldnt leave in there on its last day (they only get 8 days in adoptions at his shelter and 5 in lost and found) She was brought in as a stray and noone has came forward for her. I of course told her to bring her by. And oh boy what a surprise when this little girl came out of the truck.

She has a home pending this week(and about 5 others that fell head over heels in love with her at SAR training this week). Since she is from a really crappy nasty shelter, they only take the 50 bucks and let anyone have her. Instead my goddaughter and I are doing a home check for this one cause she is just that special. We met the family Saturday here and they did all the right things. Even the man of the house got into the pond to coax her in with him. The Woman laid in the clover with her and loved on her like I do with my kids. So far so good!

She is approximatly 5 months old and sweet as can be. She aims to please and is like a cat inside of the house. Calm and very quiet. I am totally in love with her.

She looks so nice. The outside of a German Shepherd is good for the inside of a human. :D

(not that I have any prejudice)
What a sweet face she has. It sounds like you've found the perfect home for her!
Awwww...what a cute dog! And how nice that she has a happy home pending your approval! :)
OMG V why didn't you tell me she's adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. That fac is too beautiful!
She is really beautiful Vonnie. I give you all the world of credit for fostering. I am such a foster failure. I will never again foster a dog. It just never works out for me. :( God bless you for all your rescue efforts. :)

I think you should send her to Reno. :)
She is gorgeous! She looks so much like my little Artemis. If you don't find a home for her I'll take her! :p

and the pound puppy crew.
Are you sure you can't keep her? I would love to see her grow up! What a cutie! :D

Just so you know Inga..... V and I already had that conversation. I'd love to take her (and 5 or 6 others). I'm trying to convince V to keep her. Don't you think she'd make a great addition to the Mississippi Crew?
I was pretty certain you guys would love to see her. She thanks everyone for their nice comments.. She is absolutely adorable..

I just went to foster one..then another and another..and now I am hooked. I have failed several times since that first one in my mind, for a few days, but then when i found them the perfect home it just seemed right to do it again! If I wasnt over my personal limit with 4 of my own I would take her in a millisecond!!

Volley, We will get to see her from time to time.. I know the people wanting to adopt her and I was told I was welcome to come snatch her for play dates anytime. Ill be sure to take pictures for you all to see.
