Once in a while my mom will let Hawkeye outside and not hook him up to his "tie out" and then turn away and go do something in the kitchen. I ask her not to but I guess she just thinks nothing can happen in a minute. nothing has happened in a minute yet. But we do have a 7 month old intact female dog only a few hundred yards away from our house, who knows when she'll be going into season.

I will have to start locking him in my bedroom with me while I'm home sleeping so she can't do that. But when I'm gone from the house, I'll just have to pray.

Yikes! Maybe some pictures of the dogs in the humane society from accidental matings would do the trick? What kind of female is a few hundred yards away? NOT that it matters, I am just curious. :)

Ugh! NOT a good designer breed either. LOL Not that I was thinking it would be. Well, hopefully the Dachshund owner is more responsible with her dog and they never come to "fall in love" I think you might voice your concerns about him traveling much much further then next door to find a lady friend and the risks between point A and Point B to your mom. Maybe that will strike a chord?

the Daschund is across the street. and no her owners are not responcible, in fact I'm waiting for the day she finds her way to our house looking for a boy friend. then i will bring her to the shelter.

I spoke to her owners about this. and they are under the impression that your basic chain link fence will keep her contained when she is in standing heat.

How the heck can a cute desinger name even be made out of a match like that? aussihund not cute daschshepherd not cute.

not to mention if she didn't die giving birth to his babies they would surely literally kill her with love by the time they were four weeks.

LOL No kidding, that sounds like something you might call someone you don't care for when you are really angry.

My aunt gets me so angry sometimes too. I always thought she was passionate about the welfare of dogs, but after her first dog died, she bought two puppies from a BYB, one is a chihuahua, and the other was an adorable mix of some sort. The mix was a serious chewer, and one night she went roaming around the house while my aunt was asleep and she choked to death. My aunt KNEW she was a chewer, so why wouldn't my aunt take the precautions to make sure she was safe when not supervised?
Then just last week, my aunt was sleeping over at her sister's house (my other aunt), and my other aunt has an unaltered female cockapoo. My aunt brought her unaltered chihuahua with her and they left both dogs together unsupervised in the house. I just don't understand people sometimes. I FREAKED when my mom told me about it...just what the world needs...cockapoo x chihuahua mixes....

Sorry for hijacking your thread!!!
