Hello, Guys have a two-year-old Rottweiler pup who got her toenail traumatized and damaged. She bled so bad, although it later stopped and as one part of the nail go split and hanging.

I personally made some research about the problem online and I found out on this site https://dogsforest.com/dog-nail-removal-surgery-and-aftercare/ that nail removal surgery could fix this.

Although still afraid to take a decision to go with the surgery.

How can I handle this? especially now that my pup is in severe pain??

My dog split her toenails into the nail bed on a dumb metal bench - on both back feet. No way, no how, would I have left her to grow that out. It HURTS. Definitely yank the nail if you can. It's instant relief from pain. She took some antibiotics for a bit but there was no lasting issues.

Though, of course, ask your vet about the 'if you can'.
