I am having a very hard time, my baby timbo got clipped by a car yesterday. He was lifeless when my husband picked him up. Then he started to breath shallowly. We rushed him to the hospital where he quickly started to improve. Within 5 hours he was off oxygen and his heart rate improved. The vet said I 40 years he had never seen a dog so dead at arrival and so alive at transport. Basically the vet told us his swelling went down and he is alert but he hasn’t attempted to walk. How do I know if my dog can make it

I'm sorry you've been through this only time will tell but dogs are very resilient and with the right vet care hopefully he will make a full recovery.
