is it weird that my dog without fail knows 'shake' and we never taught her...one day my dad just decided to stick his hand out and say "shake"..and she did!!! --tho she doesn't acctually know the verbal cue. lol you can say 'pickle juice' and put your hand out and she'll still respond..... (however in most things she responds better to hand signals anyways.)

Nah! This is great!

When your dog 'comes' with tricks, it makes it so much easier to teach them.

I recommend getting a clicker (if you don't have one) and teach your dog that it's good when she shakes.

Once she constantly shakes (sounds like she may already do this) you'll want to give her a verbal cue as she does it... which 'pickle juice' may be the perfect one ;) She'll start to associate the verbal cue with the action and very quickly pick up on it.

Nah, shake (or most likely to your dog ''OMG I'LL PUT MY PAW ON HIS PAW'') is almost a natural reaction to canines, that's why shake is the easiest trick to teach to most dogs:)
