My dauchund as a Problem

I have a 4 year old minature dauchund and shes been an amazing dog... up until a few monthes ago. a few monthes ago she took a leak on the carpet. we didnt know why because we walk her a fair amount and let her out enogh. we were like whatever but she started doing it every day in just different spots. but only when we wernt home. me and my brother would come home from a day of school and basicly made it in our routine to clean up the crap and the piss that would be upstairs every day, even though we let her out every morning.

so now we have to lock her in our laundry room when were at school, and the ocasional day if someone comes home for a few minutes and lets her out... she goes right upstairs and takes a dump and piss on the rug

she always has this guilty look on her face like she knows she did something bad and she hides

but she wont stop?

and her behaveur... weve been taking her for walks and she doesnt want to go... she goes for a bit and completly ignores you and runs back to our house and doesnt even look when you call her name

my parents are going to put her down if she doesnt stop
what do I do?:(

You go back to housetraining 101. You're already doing the confinement but, she cannot be allowed freedom of the house without someone watching her at all times.
Take her out every hour. Praise her and treat for going in the right potty area. Clean up the accidents with an enzyme cleaner.

Sometimes, dogs 'forget' their early potty training lessons. The good news is that it usually only takes a few reminders/refresher lessons.
Maybe she has a medical problem. I would get her checked out at the vets. And take specimens with you.

Tell your parents when they get old and start pissing their pants, you're going to send them to a home, since it's illegal to "put them down".

Wow, you just described my wife's doxys. Her's are about 7 and 8 and they started going potty in the house. We ended up crating them at night. But even during the day if we leave a bedroom door open they'll potty in one of the rooms. I honestly think they know they're doing something wrong and flat out don't care, right up until they get caught.
No, they just know when they get caught that they're in trouble - but they don't know why, or they'd stop.
I would say (1) A vet check to make sure there is not a kidney infection, UTI or other medical condition contributing to the problem; (2) A housebreaking review as if she was a small puppy; (3) Clean up all accident areas thoroughly with an enzyme cleaner such as Nature's Miracle.

And, (4) if your parents are adamant about what they said, call your breeder, who should take her back or, if not, call Doxie rescue to take her. But only as a last resort.
Get a crate for your dog. Put her in the crate when you go to school or work. When ou get home, put a leash on her and IMMEDIATELY take her out. Praise and food reward for doing her business where she is supposed to.

When she is in the house with you, hve her on a leash. Take her outside every hour and more praise and food reward for going where she is supposed to.

Do not punish her if you find Poop or pee. She won't know anything about WHY you are punishing her.. only that you are. If you catch her in the act, interrupt her and get her out immediately.

Clean the rugs she has used for a pttoy area with Nature's Miracle and then steam clean those rooms. This removes the smell so it makes going there less attractive.

Last, but not least, everytime she goes in the house she is self reinforcing the behavior of going in the house.

I know it sounds silly to leash a dog in the house, but if you do not have her on a leash you have no control and cannot watch to see if she shows signs of needing to potty or interrupt her if she goes where she is not supposed to.
