Your breeder is being a garbage human being. I would be very concerned about what other corners he cut with the pups.
It's true that pups get immunity from mom but it is wearing off by 6 weeks or so, which is why they get their first of the series of puppy jabs at 6-8 weeks. Sending them off into the world without that first shot to reduce disease risk is a crappy thing to do given how susceptible pups this age are to parvo and distemper. Generally breeders do the first vaccination, along with a well puppy exam, before sending the pups off to their new homes. They typically get their second jabs about 4 weeks later, then the third, including rabies, 4 weeks after that. (Certain regions/situations may call for a fourth round.)
Basically I'd make a vet appointment sooner rather than later, and in the meantime, take strict precautions against parvo and distemper. Also, bear in mind that vaccines aren't effective immediately upon administration, so don't throw caution to the wind right away after vaccinating.
Canine parvovirus is a highly contagious and potentially fatal disease that is most likely to affect young puppies and unvaccinated dogs.
