Hi everyone! I am new to the forum and wanted to introduce my girl, Daisy.
My husband's coworker's wife found her in their neighborhood with burns on her back :(. They aren't sure what caused them and they thought it was possible her fur wouldn't grow back.... but it did! We have had her since late July and the vet estimates her to be about 5, almost 6 months old at this point. As of yesterday she is 21.2 pounds :)

I was not ready for another dog (3 years ago I lost my 13 year old toy poodle that I had since I was 10 - it took me a long, long time to get over her). It was an adjustment for sure but she has been an absolute joy, joy, joy! I am so happy she came into our lives.
That being said... we have no idea what she is! The couple that found her guessed schipperke mix... as she's grown, I'm thinking schipperke/german shepherd mix. I so badly want to do a DNA test on her.... hubs says "no"!

Dog Vertebrate Canidae Mammal Dog breed
Canidae Dog Dog breed Snout Carnivore

Daisy her first few days home. She was about 3 pounds!

Daisy more recently. Her fur grew back and she's a happy girl!

Goodness! Is she ever stinkin' cute! Those EARS! If you hadn't mentioned how small she was, I'd have have said GSD mix right off the bat. I still wouldn't rule it out, but I'd wonder what else was in the mix to account for her size.

DNA tests can be... interesting. I did one on a dog was quite possibly a purebred coated Xolo (although I always just called her a mutt), and it came back mostly Bulldog, with some Italian Greyhound, Am Staff, and Collie.

I have heard mixed reviews on the DNA tests... I am just so darn curious as to what is hiding in my girl!

She is lovely!
Thank you so much! I think so :)
