HI to all,

I am a new member and am searching for ways to deal with my 6 month old puppy who appears to be addicted to wild mushrooms. She will try to eat any and all that she finds and spends most of walks actively searching. Does anyone have any experience with this and suggestions on how to stop her from continuing with this potentially deadly hobby?

Basket muzzle. Look up the "MuzzleUp" project to teach your dog to enjoy the muzzle. That will at least keep the pup from eating any potentially deadly mushrooms while you train.

For a 6 month old, I don't find it that unusual that she wants to put everything in her mouth. She may just outgrow that phase, but I would be working on teaching her a good leave it. Look up "Doggy Zen." My dog always ate goose and rabbit poop at that age, and he did eventually lose interest in eating poop, but I guess poop isn't generally poisonous!
