Hi,

I have a 10 year old Bullmastiff Rottweiler mix. She is about 90 pounds. For the past month she has been vomiting mucus. We took her to the vet and they told us to put her on a bland diet and did blood work. The blood work came back fine. We put her on chicken and the vomiting stopped. Everytime we slowly introduce dry food back in (1/4 cup) at a time she starts vomiting again. We have tried Blue Buffalo Basics. I have been in contact with the vet and she now recommends going to see a specialist for an ultrasound. Has anyone had this happen? Any idea what is could be? I feel like I am on a slippery slope and she is 10 years old!

Thanks!

If she was doing fine on the plain chicken diet then maybe that's the answer. It never hurts to get a second opinion though, but maybe nix the blue buffalo and try something else; or just continue with the chicken if she's otherwise doing just fine.

From what I've read - the chicken doesn't offer enough nutrients for her. We just tried a food (blandish) prescribed from the doctor and she vomited again! I don't know what to do!
