I'm seriously thinking of making a BIG move . . . from Florida to New Zealand . . . with three dogs. New Zealand is rabies free and requires a lot of testing. Local vets have so far not seemed to understand . . . or at least the front desk has given me the run around by referring me to the university who referred me to APHIS, who said talk to your local vet.
Can anyone recommend exporters? Or is it better to do the veterinary work and permits processing yourself and just find an airline that will ship dogs?

When I moved from Australia back to the US, I used JetPets and was pleased with their services. Can't seem to find an equivalent service for this move.

I'm coming to visit you.. !!!!!! we have been talking about NZ ourselves... so do keep in touch on what you think if you move there.... I think my breeder did all the paperwork for the transport people who escorted Abhik to the US. Not sure how help they will be in what you need... https://www.facebook.com/ekaterina.kamenskaya.75
Start saving if you intend to bring a dog or dogs. Quarantine (now only 10 days) comes to a few thousand. Vet tests before departure, around $1300. Then there's the transport cost. NZ breeders (at least with Labradors) do a lot of importing from Australia, some from Europe, and not so much from the US. They ship worldwide. Being that NZ is rabies free and light on other contagious diseases, NZ dogs can generally be imported with minimum fuss.
