Looks like Delphi may have a ride up to WI RIGHT before we leave for TX! If she's not bred then, chances are we'll have to swing to the breeder on the way south for her to be bred and then continue our trip from there,

Sounds good Xeph. You're going to have a busy summer, that's for sure.

Now hang on.. whose pups will they be? Are they for you to sell, or I believe there is some co-owner involved? (Will you be keeping one? :D :D :D :D )

You may get to meet her Keechak...heck, I was thinking of begging your mum to let you watch her for three days :p

It will be a co bred litter. The owner of the stud dog gets first pick boy, I take second and third pick of the litter. We will split the rest of the litter, but as of right now I am unclear if that is monetarily, or physically.

After Delphi whelps this litter, she will be mine in full.

Well I'm sure you could talk my mom into having us watch her for a few days but it really depends on when. right now we are watching Jet and Jazz for "Hiaja" and they will be here for another week, at this time my mom is not going to be fond of the idea of having a 6th dog in the house, but after that time, lets just say I will beg with you to let her stay here lol.

I am just so anxious to meet her. Her pictures you've taken so far make her look beautiful, I'm sure she looks ten times better in real life.

She won't be arriving until June 15th/16th

She's pretty and ugly at the same time xD When I saw her she was COMPLETELY ungroomed though. I think some show stopper, a good bath, and some consistent eating will do her good (She's REALLY skinny, and through no fault of the handler).

I can't wait to meet her. And of course I have to meet the goofball again also.
<3 I hope that Strauss won't try to eat your chickens this time. Maybe that was his way of hinting that he wants to go raw? xD!

Is this going to be her first litter then? I think I remember you saying she was like...2.5 years old-ish which would make it her first litter but then I could be thinking of the other girl you were considering a while ago.

Good luck working out the details...so you'll likely take second pick boy and first pick girl then? (Assuming there are both genders and multiple show potentials)

Yes, first litter.

I doubt I can keep two puppies, so my priority would be to keep the nicest bitch puppy and send the 'second nicest' boy out on a co-ownership to a show home.

Well, if you end up with too many puppies you can send one (some?) to me! :D

I know how exciting all this is for you and I am keeping fingers crossed that it is all it is supposed to be for you.

It brings back memories of my days breeding horses. Big difference is that a horse is preggo for almost a YEAR to see the results... and a dog it is around 63 days. Of course a horse comes in heat from spring until late summer every 21 days so you have more chances to get her preggo.

I will keep my eye on all this. It is sort of like reading a really good book but you get it in short chapters shipped out every once in awhile!

I might have an ASCA show with Hawkeye near Miniapolis MN on the 13 and 14. so the 15th or 16th should work. I'm sure if you offer my mom a little *cough$cough* she will be more happy to accomidate Delphi. As I said though I will be sure to beg with you.

Delphi will be in full heat at the time too wont she? Would you have some bitches britches for us if she is a heavy bleeder? Would she stay here all the time, or would you be taking her during the day and just have her sleep here at night? I need to now all the details before asking my mother about it (AKA "Landlord" xD)

She SHOULD be bred by then...if not, I shall indeed bring her some britches, and at worst, she could sleep in her kennel in the garage.

I might take her during the day, or at the least, come out and exercise her a bit....she may be in whelp, so I don't want to cart her everywhere if I don't have to.

Mostly she just needs somewhere to sleep, and I can provide food and a kennel and all that jazz. And I'd be more than happy to offer monetary compensation for just a couple days of letting her sleep ;-)

I think Strauss would bother her more than Hawkeye

Xeph I gave your email to a coworker of mine who is interested in getting a GSD down here in texas. She doesn't show, just wants a pet. Hopefully you can help her in the right direction!

Can't wait to meet you guys when you get down here!

The litter is not yet confirmed (she's not even bred yet xD), but I always welcome inquiries, so you can tell her to pop me an e-mail.

Better yet, send her to www.marcatogsd.com

I think Hawk will just be a very confused little boy lol, he's not hard to keep in check. I love your website BTW, but it looks like it's missing somethings lol, looks like you got your work cut out for you.

I was thinking, I love your signature, but you need to have both Strauss and Delphi in it. maybe once you get some better pictures?

OK I just asked my mom about keeping Delphi here for a few days and she said sure, but she is expecting a bit of $ from you. She didn't specify how much but I figure $15-$25 would be around a good amount.
