I bought my dog a turkey grind to feed him and I'm pretty sure he hates it. I have the hardest time getting him to eat it. Can I mix red meat with it? or will that upset his belly too much?

You can. Max gets only pork and chicken RMB so he needs to combine meats to get enough variety in his diet.

With adding any new food go slowly! Max gets 10 ounces daily so I would change out 1/2 ounce of food a day until he is up to 50% or so. If you are using an all in one grind consider how adding straight meat to a complete meal changes things. To make is simple I would probably just go with a red meat grind.

Hope you can fool him and get that 'nasty' turkey stuff down him.

Thanks Kathy! I hope I can fool him too!

I'm trying to wean him off the grind, I want him to get good at chewing through the bone first, I finally found some chicken necks at the grocery store! I think I might mix the grind with some lamb since that seems to be his favorite. The shipping on raw meat grinds is expensive--right now PawNaturaw has free shipping, but they don't have a red meat grind :( THanks for all your help!
