Just trying to get recommendations for puppy food for our 2 new additions.

Anyone have miniature schnauzers and what food? Looking for quality food.

You're braver than I am. One puppy is a lot of work. Two puppies is more like five times the work.

Anyway, the best food is one they do well on, like to eat, and you can afford to feed. Beyond that, you will get wildly varying opinions from grocery store brand generic to super-premium (and super-priced) foods that the person recommending each one swears by, and wouldn't feed anything but. That said, my usual "go to" is Purina Pro Plan. Currently, my dogs are on a brand called Blackwood's. I've also fed Iams, Science Diet, Nulo, Nature's Recipe, Fromm, Avoderm, and 4Health (Tractor Supply brand), among others.

I feed my mini Acana. Started on puppy formula and now he eats ALS Regionals. I like it because I don't feed as much (higher calories) and it's 70% meat protein. It's a grain free formula, so whatever you are into feeding.

My two last minis ate Fromm with grain included. I like both these brands for dry dog food. Just decided to do the higher protein and grain free for my current pup.

Have you asked the breeder? Sometimes they will recommend a specific brand. Some breeds have allergy issues, etc, so what works for a poodle may not work well for a schnauzer. And then there are individual preferences.

I have been feeding Kirkland (Costco) dry food for years. I started with the chicken and rice formula, then changed to the lamb and rice when I got Moose-dog as he was sensitive to the chicken. With Cat-dog, I went back to the chicken and rice formula and she and Tornado-dog are doing great on it. As they eat out of the same bowl (their desire), I don't feed Tornado-dog an actuall puppy food. But the kirkland adult is working great with him.
