Our min pin is six months old, I have noticed him losing teeth, but on the top and bottom, where the long front teeth are, he is getting double. The puppy teeth are still in, how long do I wait til I take him to a vet for extraction? I have had other dogs, this is my first toy breed, never have I seen this with other breeds.

My Chihuahua, Misty, recently had to get three of her canine teeth extracted. She was 7 months old at the time. My vet told me that it was very, very common in small breeds and that if they haven't fallen out and the new teeth are halfway in, they probably need to be extracted.

If your puppy is not neutered yet, you can get them pulled when he goes in for that. That way, you do not have to put him under anesthesia twice.
