Those are Rottie Markings all right, but lots of dogs have that pattern. It will be easier to tell as he grows. One thing is for sure. Rufus does indeed Rock! He's adorable!

Greetings everyone! Here's my new puppy Rufus. He's a 10 week old Lab-Shepherd mix (but I think he might have some Rott in him).
He's super playful and gets along great with other dogs and kids. He loves to chew on anything he can get his paws on. He also likes to look at himself in the mirror and paw at his reflection. Sometimes he'll even watch TV with me! I wonder what shows he likes the most? He doesn't cuddle and kiss as much as I'd like, but we're working on it. He's VERY smart, and learned Sit/Stay/Down in 1 day!!! He's only about 11-12lbs right now, but we're hoping he grows up to be a big boy
