I love this forum and I love talking about my dogs. I have been away from home for quite a while and am looking forward to being home with them again. I only have 5 days left before I get to see them. I have 2 dogs, Maddie (german shepherd) & Summer (a mix between a retriever, border collie, and an english setter). I've had many animals in my life, especially dogs, if anyone needs advice on training etc. Here they are!

What has been keeping you away from your dogs so long? work? It's great that you will finally get to see them again.

I only have the 1 pup so far, Delilah is a great Pyr/yellow lab cross. She is 3.5 months old and so much fun to have around. I contacted someone looking to rehome a litter of pups next month. They are great pyr/black lab cross pups so hoping to hear something from them about a female one. I finding this particular cross of dogs to be perfect for our family. I guess that means I have figured out our favorite "breed". We have great fun with our pup and up until now have taken her with us everywhere. This afternoon will be the first time we leave her home while we go out, so that will be a new experience for us all.

This whole forum is people posting about the dogs they love :p

I've been away from my dogs too, and it's been hard. I just finished first year university and I was in residence so dogs were not allowed. I just saw them for the first time since spring break in February on Tuesday. SiSi had her first agility class since last summer this morning, and she picked it up fantastically. Unfortunately I was unable to get a dog friendly apartment for next year so I will be away from them again :( Hopefully I can move to a dog-friendly place in third year!

I like the name Delilah. I have been away at school and it's been hard not seeing them. I had a litter of border collie puppies years ago. They were so fun! Hope Delilah doesn't go crazy when you leave and tear anything up. Good luck. Mixed breeds are great! My dog, Summer (the white one) is a mix and a pound puppy. She listens well and is protective and more of a watch dog than my german shepherd!

We are in the same situation, actually! I was able to visit one of my dogs for an hour yesterday but definitely not long enough. Looking forward to the summer break!!

Thread made me laugh for that reason. People post about their dogs on dogforums.com you say?
I have seen some of your previous posts to people that are similar to this one. Not impressed. At least Elliebell was being friendly when she made a comment on the title of my thread. All I'm trying to do is meet new people who have the same passion as I do and enjoy the forum.

How did you determine that Elliebell was being friendly, but I was not? That seems like an arbitrary pick there. I'll make a note you're not impressed with my posting style. It may not make it to management, but by god I will make sure it gets to a supervisor at least.
