Hello everyone. I am new here. And maybe a little crazy. We just lost our beloved Oero last month to kidney failure. He was eight. Oero was my oldest son's dog. When we had Oero we also got a Jack Russell named Jackie. She was 13 weeks old. So needless to say she was sad when her partner in crime left us.

My son adopted a Carolina Dog from our shelter in town. Riylee is 4 months old. And she is still a puppyfor sure. However our Jackie doesn't really want much to do with her. Our Jackie is not your normal Jack Russell. She is calm. She would raither lay on the back of the couch then play.

Then today we adopted a 5 yr. old male Jack Russell. Jackie walks by him that is about it. But Jack is 100% Jack Russell.

Will my little Jackie ever get back to normal and play again?

I think dogs morn KINDA like a human would. They forum a bond, and now there friend is gone, and they don't know why. I'm she will get over it some day, just give her time, and love.

Well Jackie has always been a very calm Jack Russell. However she knew what buttons to push to get Oero going. When we brought Riylee home, Jackie wanted nothing to do with her. She would show her teeth if she came close and everything. And Riylee only being 4 months old all she wants to do is play. Jackie wanted none of that. Then yesterday we brought Jack home. He is 5 yrs old male. Now they would lay by one another and walk by eachother. But that is about it right now. I really hope Jackie gets better.

I have absolutely no room to talk about the amount of pups you have! Lol! :D

Blu Boy suffered the loss of his owner ... my Mother two years ago last month. He mourned ... but he and his Brother Leeo concentrated more on my emotions and helped me through this trying time. I gave both dogs my undivided attention to try and help fill that void.

Then 4 months ago Blu Boy suffered the loss of his Littermate and Brother Leeo. Once again he was more in tune with my sadness ... and helped me through another trying time ... and is still by my side constantly. I believe if you could give your little girl some undivided special attention it may help her with her loss. :)

Awwwe .... such a sweet photo.

I am so very sorry about your loss of Oreo. It is really tough no matter what ... but when they leave us so young it is very hard to fathom and seems so unfair. :( Leeo was only 5 years old. I completely understand.

I would definitely give her some extra attention and maybe a new game or two to play and some additional treats. :) Please keep us updated and let us know how she is doing.
