So, JC, has another loose tooth. Last year he randomly lost two. I can't figure out why he's losing teeth. The day after I noticed the second had fallen out within a two week period, I brought him into work, vet said teeth look great and he didn't know why he lost them.

*JC doesn't play rough... no games of tug-a-war or anything.
*They don't have anything particularly hard to chew on... kongs and bully sticks mostly.

Anyway, I have included pictures of his teeth and I put a star next to the loose one (the other I included so you can see where he's missing teeth).

(I know these aren't the best quality pics... they're taken in bad lighting on a cell phone)

Basically, why on earth could he be losing these teeth?

Has he had full mouth rads done? How old is he?

Corona is only 4 years old, but when she had her dental, the doctor showed me that she already has very significant degeneration of the bone in her jaws.

Yeah, it's not a good thing. Corona will have her mouth re-radiographed in a couple of months here, so that we can get an idea of how quickly the degeneration is happening, and how long I can expect her to have her teeth.

I would definitely pursue x-rays if you can.

He's coming into the clinic tomorrow to have those done. We have a canine dental specialist about 30 minutes away. I may ask to be referred to her to see what she think as well.
