So I'm out walking Nubs as always on our normal walk when out of nowhere this little black and white Jack Russel Terrier comes running at me and Nubs full blast. At first the greeting was ok. Nubs wasn't to pleased at the forwardness of the dog, but was ok, until the little brat BIT Nubs! I was pissed to say the least. No owner around, and the dog didn't belong the the house that he came from because I know they don't own a dog.

So here I am on the sidewalk with this little brat of a dog attacking my big vicious Pit Bull, and me hold Nubs so that he can't snap at the nasty dog while I try to shoo it away. One bite and I knew that he could do major damage to the dog, and Nubs would be blamed. *sighs*

Out of the blue this sliver car pulls us and the dogs owner hops out and starts calling her dog. Of course the dog runs from her dodging her and going back to nipping at Nubs legs. Nubs is at this point getting really irritated (so am I) and the lady finally grabs the dog, throws him in her car and TAKES OFF! No "I'm sorry" No "are you ok?" NOTHING! She jumps in her car an takes off. Here I am looking over Nubs and she doesn't even have the nerve to say "I'm sorry?" Dogs get out I understand that, it happens. But your dog ATTACKING mine is NOT cool! If it was the other way around my dog would have been on the news and killed. She is lucky that Nubs isn't DA and has a good temperament because it would only have taken one bite for that dog to have been killed!

Aug... I really hate irresponsible dog owners. Nubs seems to be fine. He has one sore on him from where the dog got him good, but seems fine. I'll keep an eye on it. Stupid... *insert bad words here* Owner...

Same thing happened when my rat terrier was attacked by a GSD-mix in our neighborhood. I'm literally laying on top of my dog to keep the other dog from tearing him apart and the owner very calmly walks over, gathers up his dog and walks back to his house. I was STUNNED! Since I knew who the dog belonged to, we reported them to animal control and we went to mediation. And the wife, who wasn't there, insisted that their dog just LOVES little dogs and she was "only trying to play." Uh, no...my dog's injuries would suggest otherwise. I still get mad thinking about it.

Owners like that just make me want to punch something.

I'm glad your big, bad, vicious pit bull is okay. ;) Give him a big ol' kiss for us!

Yeah Nubs seems fine. Everything didn't seem to even phase him which is good. The lady was gone before I could even have gotten her plate number. I was just shocked by it all. If it was the other way around, Nubs would be labled as "vicous". It just angers me sooo much... grrr...

I would have punted the JRT as far away from my dog as possible. (Okay, so I'm exaggerating a bit, but I certainly would've kicked the dog away... not with an intent to harm but to prevent any further biting, etc).

Good boy, Nubs!
