We drove to the pound to check out some dogs. Once we got there we could hear some crying near by. After we found a bag outside with puppies in it we had to take them. It turns out that the pound is closed on monday, but who would ever just leave puppies out in the rain. They were starving and dehydrated a little and under weight (you can fill their bones easy). They are very young not sure but could be around 4-5 weeks? Not even sure what mix they are. Im giving them natural balance ultra (crushed/powered and water mix). Their first stool was firm and seemed good, which is not from my food (from after getting home). Im waiting on the dog food i gave them to come out to see how they do. Im giving them water also and made it normal temp (I was told not to give them COLD water). They are sleeping now...... pray that they can make it! ty also any help would be much appreciated! :(

OMG! How sad. How can anyone leave two little puppies like that out in the rain? There is really something wrong with some people...

I have no advice, having never dealt with an animal so young. But I will be thinking of you and I look forward to updates on how they are doing

Oh wow... I'm apalled that anyone could be so heartless as to just leave them like that!

Good for you for taking them in for now; other people will be better equipped to give you advice than I, but please keep us updated on how they do.

OH MY GOD! Too cute! How could someone be so cruel and insensitive? S*** go to Wal-Mart and holler, "Free puppies!" you'd have such a crowd you'd have to beat'em off with sticks... but to leave them in a bag... in the rain? It seemed like more of a hassle to drive to the pound and make a drop-off. : (

Bless your heart, I send you all my best wishes and I wish for you the best of luck finding them homes... unless you keep them. ; )

Send more pictures if you have the time. : D

:( Poor little pups. Good for you for taking them in! I can't even get started on the A**H*** that left them there.

Anyways. I can't tell from the picture as to what age they are, but I'm sure they would do fine with mushed food, kibble soaked in water for a while and then mixed up. I don't think you would need to crush up the kibble and then add it to water. Make sure they keep drinking. A vet visit would probably be good as well, to see how healthy they are...The vet could give you a estimate on what age they are as well as maybe an idea on the breed.

Hope this helps a little :)

I would leave the water out all the time, though give them lots of pee breaks. I'm no where near being an expert with puppies, with my kittens I would have the food 2 times a day, but then they still had their mother around for milk, until they were eating the dry on their own. I'd say feed them 3 times a day, and for those three meals as much as they want until their older. Though someone else might have some more ideas on that.

They are soo cute!

i would also suggest some puppy milk replacer for those bones....they are so young they would def still be nursing so for, at least a couple wks, mix some in their food a few x a day.....my guess is they're about 4 wks....feed about 4 x a day till their tummy are firm but not hard/distended....maybe about a 1/2 c each to start but that, i think would be a max amount....good luck....they sure are cute....

Geesh how disgust! I'm glad you took them in your hands now! Puppies eat about 3x times a day etc I guess you could foster them until you find a good home, first thing in the morning take them to the vet's! Don't let them near your other dogs in case they don't have any worms or unknow diseases etc

I love the third picture just cracks me up
