Hello,
I sought out this forum because I mostly need to find forum-based recommendations for taking care of my Dad's dog, Oreo. Oreo is the family dog of my Dad's second family, but circumstances in that family have prompted me to see what I can do to remove him from that home. Oreo is a sweet, quiet 7-8 year old dog (I have no idea what breed he is). But he is very obese and he looks sad, and I just found sporadic small patches of skin sores all over him. He is not being cared for and I'm worried that if he continues to stay in that house, he will meet an early grave from bad nutrition, lack of exercise, and being ignored. He deserves way better, and I already started exercising him. We walked 2 miles yesterday! He was tired but he was game.
I have so many questions, I'm also blogging my observations of him on a day to day basis. I will do all I can to keep him. After all, he shares my last name
