I believe it's an acanthomatous epulis, it looks like he is holding a tomato in his mouth. He was just brought into our rescue a couple days ago. He is a JRT mix, approx 6-7 years old. He is able to eat and drink, but it is tender to the touch. I am going to schedule him for an appointment with an oral surgeon,,who will biopsy it probably, and give me our options for removal. Wondering what kind of cost we are looking at, especially since removing part of the jaw may be included. My guess is in the thousands. What is the recover for this like? I know they have a chance of returning. Since we are non profit, we stay afloat through donations, we need to budget for this. Has anyone experienced it?
He is a real sweetheart and highly adoptable, but not with the legion.
Thank you
