Labrador episodes od losing balance and head tremors

Hi all, my lab is 2 years old and for some time now he has episodes where at some point he starts losing balance, strange walking and head tilting as if he is gasping for air. The whole episode lasts from 5 to 30 minutes depending how soon he gets his rest. It usually happens during the long walk and if we meet some dogs to play. Episodes are also followed with head tremors and also head tilting as he gasps for air, that last for 2-3 seconds each, but repeat constantly and finally stop when he is completely rested around 20-30 minutes later. It happens more or less twice a month. Neurologist checked him and told me he couldn't notice anything strange. Also he has been at cardiologist, and after several visits and heart ultra sounds he concluded it is not due to his heart either. I scheduled MRI but i live in small place and i have to wait for time slot. I am confused as i cant find anything quite like it on internet except maybe dog overheating, but since it also happens in winter during mild walks, i am not convinced it is just overheating... Any help is much appreciated.

I would video tape an episode and show it to the neurologist. It could be something like seizures - which are difficult to diagnose when they aren't in progress.
Maybe a form of epileptic seizures. Continue to work with vets. You may want to get a referral to a university vet school for examination.

Ask your vet about exercise intolerance and collapse, also known as collapse syndrome, especially since it seems to happen on walks or when he's playing. This article might help. Exercise Induced Collapse Syndrome in Labrador Retrievers

Yes, i videotaped several and showed to neurologist, but he suspected heart so reffered me to cardiologist where he was getting some treatment for several months, mostly L carnitine, taurine etc and other heart vitamins, until he decided it is not heart after all. I am now trying at different neurologist but he also cant tell me anything without MRI. I suspect this is just not common and they have no idea..

My apologies for my previous post. I did not realize it was against the rules. I work for a canine genetics company. I just wanted Sund to know that testing for Exercise Induced Collapse can be very affordable. We have a lot of customers that test for degenerative myelopathy as well, because it is often misdiagnosed. I hope this helps.

Many thanks for the answer, we just did the test in Germany and result is N/EIC, so he is carrier but should not really have the eic. I ma now confused, can he manifest eic if he has only one recessive gene because this is what i hear from my vet but i somehow doubt it. Does anybody have similar test results?
Many thanks to whoever has any idea..
