Dont kno wif this is the right section to post this....

My friend adopted a puppy from wayside waifs a couple months ago with her bf of the time. the dog had problems such as kennel mites and a URI. the shelter paid for the medicine for the mites and URI, but now she has the mites again. she is takin medicine but she smells really bad. i gave her a bath, but still smells horrible. is that from the mites?
there are also puss filled bumps all along her stomach and chest that are starting to pop, im assuming from the meds. is there anything else that can be done? shes already seena vet.

also kinda worried maybe it can transfer to other dogs or animals cause if my pets catch it then i cant afford treatment.

and anyone knowledgeable with wayside waifs, i was planning on calling them because shes had so many problems since we got her and the bills are piling up. just wanted an opinion on that too.

Hello there, and how is the little dog doing? Poor little thing. Have you besides given him his meds, give him /her a bath with flea shampoo? Also clean and vacuum? As they ten to live in little corners of the home, i.e furniture, etc..If so, then they should be gone with the meds. I have a few links that might help you with the problem, as if tried some remedies at home, and they work. Take a look at these, and it might help. A good cortisone cream for the dog would also help with the little bumps, etc. or you can try some aloe vera gel or juice for the sores....you can get that at a natural food store, as well as some herbs you can get to help. Like make a steeped tea with 1 cup of water, to your 4 tsps of calendula, and 4 cups of german chamomile, and add a little drop of aloe vera, and let cool and use like a spritzer. You can also add it to there water bowl 3 times a day....just a few drops. It won't hurt them ;) Let me know if these links served a purpose :D

Do you happen to have a photo of the problem? What kind of mites did they say she had? Also, what medication is she taking for them? I am a vet tech and may be able to help out with more info on the condition.
