So, my 7 month old Boxer/Shepard Mix is really good about going into the kennel when we tell him. It makes life much easier. However, when I have to leave for an extended period of time :waveusually work), he tends to tear up blankets, the hardwood floor, carpet, anything he can get his paws or mouth on. :boxing: We have a metal wire crate, that he destroyed the floor on before we got him. He was doing well, but yesterday he ruined the floor and a rug I tried to put under it. He just pulls everything into it. :nono:

I leave numerous toys & chewy bones in there, but nothing helps. I can't stop it if I cant see it.

Separation Anxiety. Crate, return, reward, increase time away, repeat.

Put something solid under the crate, or if you have slate/ceramic in the kitchen, put the crate in there
