Ask your Vet what it is.

My dog has many growths that do not bother him. And, I leave them alone. However, if your Vet recommends removal, ask if it is dangerous now, or if it may need to be removed in the future. If it is not a problem, and not expensive, you may choose to remove it.

Of the harmless growths, we only removed a few, because of potential irritation in the location. He still has some that are more than 10 yo.

Looks like a regular wart. My dogs have gotten them as they get older. But have your vet look at it next time you go, or if it seems to be growing.

My Hobbes had something like that on his nose a few months ago. The vet said it was a wart (caused by a virus) and nothing to worry about. After a little while he scratched it off and it hasn't returned. The vet also said it's relatively common in dogs younger than about 2 years old, and they only worry about it if it's very large or there are a lot of them.
