I'm just here looking for info on a mid-larger breed dog we adopted. I've previously had a male dog (18 pound Pomeranian/German Shepherd mix) that passed at the age of 15. After a few years, we recently adopted a 5 year old Rhodesian mix surrender from the shelter. After some research, I now doubt what we were told. We went for a clear the shelter day at our county SPCA where Bissell picked up all the adoption fees that weekend. We were looking for a German Shepherd puppy, which was already gone when we went through and we ended up with our guy that was surrendered as a "bitter" by previous owner. Some people just make up any story for a reason to give up their dog not knowing some of their reasons may keep the dog from getting adopted or worse if it's a kill shelter.
