I know that in theory dogs aren't supposed to be particular about color but Jake has always favored orange toys. However, earlier this month I bought a dozen blue lacrosse balls. Since fall is around the corner I thought that they would be easier to find among the leaves. He hates the blue balls. Won't have anything to do with them. I left them out of the bag so that the rubber smell wouldn't be so strong but no dice. He has played with new fresh out of the bag orange balls without a problem. I am tempted to put the balls in a bag with some treats to see if they would pick up some of the treat smell but don't want to encourage him to chew on them. Anyone else ever have this problem? Any suggestions?

Dogs are red/green color blind for the most part. They Can see Blue and yellow and more shades of gray than we can.

You can smear the blue ones with peanut butter... or buy more orange ones :) He may like green ones.
