well, it had been decided that Jack was going to be PTS, as, lately, i have been the only one that he is about 90% predictable w/....i can read his "cues" (body language) quite well and he and i have an agreement, of sorts....i wouldn't feel he's safe enuff to go to someone i don't know and i don't feel he's trustable w/ kids, which put him as not being able to stay my dog (which would, otherwise, have been so) as my grandkids come over regularly....he has the attitude of if he wants something that someone else has, he will bite (aggressively) to get it.....

but, it just so happens that a friend that has been watching his doings w/ me and is well aware of what she's up against is going to take him and keep on working w/ him (well, actually, her boyfriend is, but he'll be w/ her at times, too)....she's going to continue w/ all i have accomplished so far (and i have really come a ways w/ him) and i think as there are no kids in the mix, it just might work....and if it does, than he will be in a happy home....

i decided the other day to try him on some of the agility stuff, just see what he would do....i did the dog walk and the A-frame w/ him and he went over them both like he has been doing it forever....and i know that the man that owned him had never done anything like that w/ him....so, maybe some agility put in for fun as well and he'll be really happy....think he could pass for a Patterdale?

Aww... I haven't followed his story but seeing that sweet face makes me so glad he's got another chance!!

don't let that sweet face fool you for a sec....this is a Jeckyl/Hyde personality if i ever saw one....he's doing much better w/ me but i still don't trust him w/ anyone else.....what's his is his, and what's yours is his if he wants it and he becomes the Taz to get it....i wouldn't really put him as a "red zone" dog but he's not far from it....you just have to know what trips his trigger and i'm still learning all of it...but, i can take things from him (99% of the time), pick him up sometimes, he crates really well after 15 min of working w/ him, don't touch his collar if he can't see a leash or your hand becomes ground meat...don't point/shake a finger at him, or it might be missing.....all 5 of my dogs are extremely stressed since he's been here--my 4 b/c he has laid claim to me and gets nasty when they come near me (better now than at 1st), Kody from his whining when in the crate for not coming down from "Hyde" easy enuff....i'm hoping that these friends can take over and get to the same point....he'll never be trustable w/ all, but he can be manageable under the right person....
