Is there a guide for training the trainer? I watch Kikopup videos but I don't "get" what is going on- I read advice here but I get confused- I'm "challenged" insofar as knowing how to behave with my dog to get the results I want

I also don't know what terms like "release" mean.,... a million little details

What is the best source you know of for training the trainer (Me!)

Here are a collection of articles about clicker training that might help.

Release means, in training, to end the command. So if you tell your dog to stay, you need to tell her when to stop staying. That is the release.

I can't answer a million questions , but definitely a few more, so ask away.
