The Corgi is 4 years old, he's been with us his entire life, he's always playful and curious with other dogs, he's never had a fight or anything and he meets other dogs all the time.

We've adopted a mini bernedoodle recently, this video was taken today and he's about 14 weeks old. He entered his new home at 11 weeks old. He had a small fracture in his left hind leg when we picked him up. We got a cast for him and it's since been taken off and he's running around and going on small walks now.

They have plenty of yard space, and are usually separated in the home while nobody's there (Very short amounts of time).

My question is.... Is this normal playing behavior, or could this be a precursor to a fight?

What a lovely game of bitey face! This is very good play. Both of them are taking turns starting it, and both of them are good with taking breaks. Now, if one dog won't leave the other alone, and just keeps on coming when the other tries to take a break, then yeah, it could lead to snarking, but for now, this is very appropriate play. Fair warning, it might get a bit noisier as the get more used to each other. I have a GSD and SPoo who sound like they are trying to kill each other when they do bitey face, but they really are just playing.

I like 3GSD's suggestion of having more toys than dogs.

Very cute! Totally good play 😊 The breaks, the open mouths.....they just both look happy.

My two passed dogs would lie on their sides playing bitey face, we used to call it lazy play 🤣. I was gonna say that's a really quiet game of bitey face
