Hi, I am new to this forum and joined with the idea of communicating with like minded people.
I adopted a puppy in August and was told that the mother was a GSD and father a black lab. First, let me say that her breed(s) do not affect my love for her. But I am curious (short of doing a DNA test) what others think. To me she has a slighter frame than either the GSD or Lab. I was wondering about a Belgian Malinois in the mix. I have attached some pictures of her. She is 9 1/2 months and weighs 52lbs.

I do not see Lab much and I most certainly do not see Malinois. I look at the line of that jaw and the head and ear set and I see Pit of Staffordshire terrier in there.
If a good dog it doesn't much matter.

I'd believe Lab x GSD. Field/working bred Labs can be very light-framed and racy-looking when compared to a blocky conformation bred Lab.

Definitely GSD, maybe also some Pit, but honestly, I mostly see GSD. However, in mixes, a large part of the DNA inherited from parents codes for non-visible traits, like hair or nail growth rate, function of internal organs, etc. So it is quite possible that she is a GSD/Lab, or even, who knows, maybe something crazy like GSD/ Poodle.

Did you ever figure out her breed I am going through same question with my boy Milo (9months 59lbs) and he looks exactly like her! At first I thought possibly related till I saw the date you posted.
