I have a 1 year old dog who've I've had since she was a pup. We Just got a new dog about 3 weeks ago. She loved him the first day, the next day she was SUPER jealous.. after about a week though she really chilled out on the jealousy, and just occassionally growls when he is near her food/snacks.. They play ALL the time. However, she seems depressed.. Lays around when she isn't playing with the other dog.. Just doesn't seem to be happy.. I can't really explain it. She just went into heat for the first time about 2 weeks ago, so I didn't know if this had anything to do with her behavior. She will be getting fixed in the next two months. Her nipples are still larger than usual even though she isn't bleeding, etc..

I don't know if I should give her more time, or take her to the vet.. She's eating and drinking and pooping/peeing okay.. Isn't whining or yelping, or acting like shes in discomfort, but is really mopey. :(

I'm not sure if I should take her to the vet or not, or if she is still adjusting to the new dog, or if she doesn't LIKE the new dog, or if its pms?

Did you see bleeding 2 weeks ago? If so, she's still in heat. Still fertile (I hope he's fixed!). Hormones can do wacky things to a dog (OK, people, too :p). I've known a couple dogs who were really moody when in heat, so I don't think it's unusual.
