So Upendi has one ear up and one down, she has the capability of putting the other ear up because she does so on occasion. She's going to be a year old at the end of april and I was just wondering if there was still a chance that her other ear may eventually come up?

My beautiful lopsided girl.

Not sure if there is anything valid in what I was told by a friend. She owns a Aussie/BC mix and the lady she bought it off of ( the pup was 8 weeks old when she brought it home ) told her to NEVER ever let people stroke her ears way back all the time ( like intense petting ) during the first year if you ever want her ears to stand up later. The way some people use both hands to pet the dogs head and stroke the ears back ? It was something about it can break the very delicate cartilage in the ears. Dont know myself about it but the lady seemed to be quite vocal about this. My friend followed her advice . Below is her dog , aprox 9 months old in this picture . The ears did a great job LOL !

where they both floppy in the beginning and then the one started standing?
Yes they were.
I LOVE the way they look. I'd love them to stay that way, except for the fact that she gets ear infections in the floppy ear. So for her sake I'd rather they both go up.

I was just wondering, she does hold it up some times, so I know she can. I'm beginning to think she just doesn't want to put in the effort to hold them both up.

Elka has one ear down/one up. Both can go up, but not normally. She's 17 months old, if both go up permanently I might actually be disappointed. ;)

I still remember my old dog running across the yard with one ear up and the other kind of half way flopping around, it was so funny, I also remember thinking that I hope the other starts to stand up fully or the other one ends up flopping down. She had some pretty big ears:D

She looks like she has "bat" ears when they're both up because they're so big. :D
