It's no UNcommon. Make sure you give Kingston plenty of love and attention and one-on-one time with you. Also, when he's with the puppy, give him treats and praise. Make associations between good things and the puppy.
thanks very much. we have been praising as often as we can so we will try the treats. Kingston has been the centre of attention for the last year so its difficult for him.
